Here's an excerpt from the Outside Magazine Blog with HUN Team member Matthias Giraud:
Pro skier Matthias Giraud, 26, was the the first to ski B.A.S.E jump off Mt. Hood, Telluride's Ajax, and southwestern Colorado's Engineer Mountain. With his trademark charm-your-pants-off French accent, he dishes about managing fear, losing his mentor Shane McConkey, and how to take the leap yourself.
The Powder Feed: It's early season. What have you been up to?
The products speaks for themselves but to put into words, THEY ARE AMAZING! It is unbelievably soft, warm, light, smell resistant, tough and yet quite fashionable. I wear the same, paint, wood glue stained, diesel smelling Carhartt overalls everyday but in combo with the Signature hoody with it's flashy plaid lining in the hood ...
It’s Opening Day Somewhere! We should have known our very own HUN MEMBER, Matthias Giraud, would be neck deep in powder at Mt. Baker, Washington’s Opening Day, Nov. 12, 2009.
Xavier De Le Rue - HUN Team Member - Jeremy Jones and myself are ready for new up-coming adventures! We are about to board the clipper adventure for a 40 hours boat ride across the scary "Drake Passage", supposed to be the worst crossing on the planet. After that we'll have 7 days of actual riding. We got split boards,...
Nikki Gregg - HUN Team Member: I have to say that despite all the amazing qualities of the I/O Bio clothing, one of the most awesome things I noticed is they NEVER start to smell!! My boyfriend, Dan Gavere, and I are sometimes on the road stand up paddling in the rivers and oceans with no showers or laundromats for longer than I'd like to admit.
Kim Havell - HUN Team Member: I/O Bio's contact layers kept our all female team warm on some very, very cold days during our June ski expedition to Denali, and I'm looking forward to sporting the Contact Pilot suit in the Andes Mountains in a couple of weeks. Thanks I/O Bio for great warm, comfy, and reliable layers!
Kasha Rigby - HUN Team Member currently on an expedition in Nepal: I love everything so much - especially the Pilot Suit...and I stormed china in the track pants...and panties! All went so well there. We climbed and skied our gorgeous peak and even got great turns. We did climb in a total white out and skied down in the dark so our pictures are limited of the actual climb. cheers from katmandu! Kasha
Amy Dombroski - HUN Team member is often confused as a Super Hero since she’s spent more time in a stars and stripes lycra suit than Wonder Woman this year…but it was her 2nd and 3rd place finishes in the USGP Elite W’s Cyclocross races this weekend that exposed the secret strength of this 22yr old rocket. Hidden under her Richard Sachs Racing skin suit was none other than an I/O Bio Merino Contact Top!
Been hiking canyons all autumn, long days in the backcountry for sure. I gave a pair of the briefs to my buddy Sinuhe Xavier, a commercial filmmaker form LA and he is sold on keeping his boys dry.
